Ans.3(1) Let smaller number = y
Greater no = x
According to question-
x × 14/100-y × 16/100 = 275 — I
x × -y× = 27
7x – 8y = 1350 — II
By solving I and II
x = 850, y = 575
Required Sum = 850+575 = 1425
Ans.4(4) Boys = 350 × 70/100 = 245
Girls = 350 × 30/100 = 105
Total fee = 105 × 550 + 245 ×(550×120/100 )
= 57750 + 245 × 660
= Rs. 219, 450
