1. India to host ‘No Money For Terror’ meet in 2020

  • India will next year host the conference of the “No Money For Terror”, the ministerial-level grouping of 70 countries that focuses on countering terror financing, terror and radicalisation.
  • The group, set up in 2018, is a much smaller version of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) that has a single-point agenda to crack down on terror financing.

4. Litterateur, academician Nabaneeta Dev Sen passes away

  • Eminent litterateur and academician Nabaneeta Dev Sen died in her South Kolkata residence after a protracted illness. She was 81.
  • Dev Sen was suffering from cancer for a long time and her condition deteriorated over the past 10 days.
  • Winner of the Kamal Kumari National Award (2004), Sahitya Akademi award (1999) and the Padma Shri(2000), she is survived by two daughters – writer Antara and actress Nandana.

7. Venkaiah Naidu inaugurates 10th Asian Conference of Emergency Medicine
