IBPS Clerk 2019-20 Recruitment

Every year IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) conduct IBPS Clerk exam to select candidates for the clerical cadre in multiple Government as well as Public Sector banks all over the country.

The IBPS Clerk 2019 exam will be conducted on two levels- preliminary exam and mains. No interview process is required for the selection to the post of Clerk.

Merit List is made based on the cumulative score of both Preliminary Examination as well as Mains Examination.

Online Application:
According to IBPS Official Calendar 2018-19, IBPS Clerk 2019 Prelims exam is scheduled on in the month of December 2019 and the mains exam is scheduled on January 2020.

There were 7275 vacancies in 2018-19, We are expecting around the same number of vacancies this year also. This year IBPS has released a total of approx 12000 Vacancies under IBPS Clerk 2019 post.

Selection Procedure:
The recruitment process of IBPS Clerk CWE happen in two phases:
1. Preliminary Examination
2. Mains Examination

Students are required to qualify both these exams to get selected for the post of clerical cadre in most of the premier Public Sector Banks.

The main thing to note here is that there is no interview process required for the selection of candidate after the mains exam. 100% weightage is given to the result of mains exam result.

IBPS Clerk 2019 Application Fee:
The application fees for General : Rs.600/
For SC/ST/PWD : Rs.100/

Educational Qualification
Graduation Degree from a University recognized by the Government of India.
Candidates should have a valid Mark-sheet / Degree: Certificate which supports that they are graduates on the day they were registered for the exam. The percentage of marks obtained in Graduation should be mentioned at the time of registration for the IBPS Bank-Clerk examination.
Computer Literacy: Knowledge of computer operation is a must as the IBPS Clerk exam is conducted online.
Language Proficiency: Candidates should have verbal and written proficiency in the official language of the State/UT. The candidate should be able to read, write and speak the language

Age Eligibility:
Minimum: 20 years
Maximum: 28 years (As on 01.09.2019)

Pre exam Training
The Nodal Banks/ Participating Organizations may organize pre-examination training for SC/ST/Religious Minority Community candidates at certain centres as per the strategy issued by Government of India.

This is a kind of training session where candidates are acquainted with the type of questions, common mistakes, and tips for time management, best practices, basic tricks and approaches by experts from training organizations.

The purpose is to give a level playing field to students from weaker sections that can’t afford coaching and make them aware about general facet and recruitment procedure of the exam.

Candidates belonging to above-mentioned categories can undergo training by signifying the same against relevant column, at the time of applying on-line.
The pre-exam training is free of cost with other expenses like travel, food and lodging expenses are incurred by the candidate.

Generally, it is conducted for five days before the exam and the dates are announced on the official website. Please find below an indicative list of training centres:

Exam Pattern For Clerk Prelims:
Prelims Online Examination consists 3 sections the candidates must solve the question paper in one 1 hour for 100 marks.

There is negative marking of ¼ for every wrong answer. Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing minimum cut-off marks to be decided by IBPS.

Adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by IBPS depending upon requirements will be shortlisted for Online Main Examination. The candidates are required to qualify both the stages to be listed in the merit list prepared after conduction of both the exams.
